The swedish government consists of the Prime Minister and around 22 Ministers. They have different kinds of work. For example Sweden has a Foreign Minister, a Financial Minister, a Health Minister and so on. After the Swedish election the leader of the party that gets most votes is called by the Speaker of the Parliament to become the Prime Minister. After that the Prime Minister forms the government by appointing the ministers he or she wants to have. The Prime Minister do not have to have these appointings confirmed by the parliament. The King does not take part in these appointings.
